Vanessa MacDonald Moran
Born and raised in Miramichi, Vanessa is deeply committed to serving individuals and families within her community. She has experience supporting individuals, couples, children, and adolescents across a range of settings.
Vanessa’s professional background includes extensive work in child welfare, both provincially and within First Nations communities. This experience has strengthened her commitment to social justice, self-determination, and culturally responsive practice. She is passionate about supporting individuals and families in identifying their strengths and moving toward goals that are meaningful to them.
Her approach is rooted in strengths-based and critical social work perspectives. Vanessa is dedicated to fostering empowerment, collaboration, and client-led growth. She provides a trauma-informed, compassionate space where clients can safely explore complex emotions, process difficult experiences, and build resilience.
Vanessa MacDonald Moran earned her Bachelor of Social Work from St. Thomas University in 2018 and will graduate with her Master of Social Work from Dalhousie University in May 2026.
